Counseling Philosophy
Asking for help can be hard. It takes courage to recognize when support is needed and to take that step towards seeking assistance. If you've found your way here, I commend you for taking that brave first step.
My counseling philosophy is deeply rooted in person-centered therapy, prioritizing empathy and unconditional positive regard above all else. Drawing inspiration from feminist theory and narrative therapy, I approach counseling with a holistic perspective, dedicated to comprehensively understanding you from every angle. I strive to illuminate your strengths and collaboratively reshape the narratives that may be hindering your growth.
Central to my practice is the belief that you, as the client, are the ultimate authority on your life. I am here to support you on your unique journey, tailoring my approach to meet your individual needs. My counseling techniques are informed by cultural responsiveness and trauma-informed care, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for exploration and healing.
While I bring a foundation of knowledge and experience to our sessions, I am committed to continually learning and evolving to better serve you in achieving your therapeutic goals. Your journey matters, and I am honored to walk alongside you as you navigate the path towards growth and fulfillment.
I look forward to the opportunity to work together and support you in your journey towards personal transformation. Let's embark on this journey together.
